Radioactive Mutations Handbook

Illustrated and composed reference book, including 32 imaginary mutations. The mutations were categorised to five families, each one with their own special features.

The project was inspired by Chernobyl disaster which occurred on 26 April 1986 in Soviet Union. More than three decades have passed since the disaster, and in the closed area a unique environment has developed. Animals live alongside a limited number of humans, such as in the pre-industrial era and alongside a huge amount of radioactive materials, as in a post-apocalyptic era. The area has become a laboratory of micro-evolution- rapid evolution.

The illustrations were inspired by this unique environment and try to create combinations between living, growing and still.

Created during my studies at Bezalel academy, with the guidance of Michal Sahar.
The book was printed at ABC printing house and binded by Shoshi stein.
